J'ai entrepris cette étude il y a bien longtemps déjà, et je l'ai mise à jour récemment, notre lycée envisageant d'ouvrir une section européenne.

Pour enseigner en DNL, il faut obtenir une validation en anglais (d'où ce dossier, bien naïf, je le reconnais).
Des stages sont proposés, forts pertinents, et animés par des personnes remarquables (je pense ici à Evariste Gallois et ࢰ Choisy, pour l'Académie de Créteil).

Quant à, moi, j'ai été jugé nul à la session 2008... 8/10... (voir mon évaluation)
Je pensais que l'on avait besoin d'un professeur technicien en DNL mais c'est bien un professeur d'anglais qui y est recherché.
M'enfin...
Session 2009, pas d'examen. Il semble que je n'ai pas correctement validé mon inscription... Décidément...
Session 2010. Travailler la forme davantage que le fond... parler lentement... du preterit partout... 8/10...
Session 2011. 3ème présentation, avec inspection le matin... 8/10... donc toujours aussi nul...
3 ans de travail pour une progression nulle ! Que de temps perdu à un âge où le temps coûte si cher ! Que de colère aussi...

pour info; le niveau à atteindre (voir CERCRL) à la fin des études secondaires est le B2 :
l'élève peut comprendre l'essentiel d'un sujet concret ou abstrait dans un texte complexe, y compris une discussion technique dans sa spécialité. Il peut communiquer avec un degré de spontanéité et d'aisance tel qu'une conversation avec un locuteur natif. Il peut émettre un avis sur un sujet d'actualité et en débattre.

Structure

Vocational Education and Training (VET) or Career and Technical Education (CTE)

General Certificate of Secondary Education A*, A, B, C, D, E, F, G
Foundation level (or level 1) is achieved by gaining a "D - G" grade
Intermediate Level(or level 2) is achieved by gaining an "A* - C" grade.
Higher Level (or level 3) can only be achieved by taking an A Level in that subject..
Vocational GCSE in 2000.

Business & Technician Education Council (BTEC), transferred to Edexcel in 1996.

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs)
NVQ 1 = foundation GNVQ, three to four GCSEs at grades D-E, Business & Technology Education Council (BTEC) first certificate.
NVQ 2 = five GCSEs at grades A*-C, BTEC first diploma.
NVQ 3 = two or more A levels, BTEC Ordinary National Diploma (OND), City & Guilds Advanced Craft.
NVQ 4 = BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND),
NVQ 5 = postgraduate qualification or higher degree, such as M.Sc., M.A., M.Eng. or Ph.D.

City and Guilds of London Institute (City & Guilds)
Vocational Qualifications, from Entry-level to Level 3.
City & Guilds Licentiateship (LCGI), Graduateship (GCGI), Membership (MCGI), and Fellowship (FCGI)
Engineering Council UK Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma.

Vocational qualifications offered including BTEC Awards, National Vocational Qualification (NVQs), City and Guilds qualifications and Apprenticeships (Revised levels 2004).

Entry-level qualifications are the real basics, for absolute beginners.
Entry level qualifications recognise basic knowledge and skills and the ability to apply learning in everyday situations under direct guidance or supervision. Learning at this level involves building basic knowledge and skills and is not geared towards specific occupations.
Qualifications are offered at entry 1, entry 2 and entry 3, in a range of subjects.


BTEC Certificates in Life Skills
BTEC Certificates in Skills for Working Life

Level 1 equivalent to 4 GCSEs at D-E grades.
Competence that involves the application of knowledge in the performance of a range of varied work activities, most of which are routine and predictable.
Level 1 qualifications recognise basic knowledge and skills and the ability to apply learning with guidance or supervision. Learning at this level is about activities which mostly relate to everyday situations and may be linked to job competence.


BTEC Introductory Certificate - roughly equivalent to 2 GCSEs at D-E grades.
BTEC Introductory Diploma - roughly equivalent to 4 GCSEs at D-E grades or a Foundation GNVQ.
NVQ1 - Foundation GNVQ - equivalent to three to four GCSEs at grades D-E,
GCSEs Grades D – G

Level 2 is slightly more advanced, needing some knowledge of the subject area (equivalent to GCSEs at C-A*).
Competence that involves the application of knowledge in a significant range of varied work activities, performed in a variety of contexts. Some of these activities are complex or non-routine and there is some individual responsibility or autonomy. Collaboration with others, perhaps through membership of a work group or team, is often a requirement.
Level 2 qualifications recognise the ability to gain a good knowledge and understanding of a subject area of work or study, and to perform varied tasks with some guidance or supervision. Learning at this level involves building knowledge and/or skills in relation to an area of work or a subject area and is appropriate for many job roles.


BTEC First Certificate - roughly equivalent to two GCSEs at A*-C grades
BTEC First Diploma - roughly equivalent to four GCSEs at A*-C grades
NVQ 2 - equivament to five GCSEs at grades A*-C
Intermediate General National Vocational Qualification (GNVQ)
GCSEs Grades A* - C

Level 3 qualifications cover more complex tasks and also start the development of supervisory skills. In many professions, level 3 is the benchmark to be considered competent (equivalent to A levels)
Competence that involves the application of knowledge in a broad range of varied work activities performed in a wide variety of contexts, most of which are complex and non-routine. There is considerable responsibility and autonomy and control or guidance of others is often required.
Level 3 qualifications recognise the ability to gain, and where relevant apply a range of knowledge, skills and understanding. Learning at this level involves obtaining detailed knowledge and skills. It is appropriate for people wishing to go to university, people working independently, or in some areas supervising and training others in their field of work.


BTEC National Award - equivalent to one A Level.
BTEC National Certificate - Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) - equivalent to two A Levels.
BTEC National Diploma - Ordinary National Diploma (OND) - equivalent to three A Levels.
NVQ 3 - equivalent to two or more A levels
City & Guilds Advanced Craft.
Vocational A-Levels formally Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education (AVCE)

Level 4 - Equivalent to 1st year university
Competence that involves the application of knowledge in a broad range of complex, technical or professional work activities performed in a variety of contexts and with a substantial degree of personal responsibility and autonomy. Responsibility for the work of others and the allocation of resources is often present.
Level 4 qualifications recognise specialist learning and involve detailed analysis of a high level of information and knowledge in an area of work or study. Learning at this level is appropriate for people working in technical and professional jobs, and/or managing and developing others. Level 4 qualifications are at a level equivalent to Certificates of Higher Education.

Level 5 - Equivalent to 2nd year university
Competence that involves the application of a range of fundamental principles across a wide and often unpredictable variety of contexts. Very substantial personal autonomy and often significant responsibility for the work of others and for the allocation of substantial resources features strongly, as do personal accountabilities for analysis, diagnosis, design, planning, execution and evaluation.
Level 5 qualifications recognise the ability to increase the depth of knowledge and understanding of an area of work or study to enable the formulation of solutions and responses to complex problems and situations. Learning at this level involves the demonstration of high levels of knowledge, a high level of work expertise in job roles and competence in managing and training others. Qualifications at this level are appropriate for people working as higher grade technicians, professionals or managers. Level 5 qualifications are at a level equivalent to intermediate Higher Education qualifications such as Diplomas of Higher Education, Foundation and other degrees that do not typically provide access to postgraduate programmes.

Level 6 qualifications are at a level equivalent to Bachelor's degrees with honours, graduate certificates and graduate diplomas (equivalent to degree).

City & Guilds Graduateship (GCGI) and Associateship (ACGI)

Level 7 qualifications recognise highly developed and complex levels of knowledge which enable the development of in-depth and original responses to complicated and unpredictable problems and situations. Learning at this level involves the demonstration of high level specialist professional knowledge and is appropriate for senior professionals and managers. Level 7 qualifications are at a level equivalent to Master's degrees, postgraduate certificates and postgraduate diplomas (equivalent to higher degree).

BTEC Advanced Professional Diplomas, Certificates and Awards
City & Guilds Membership (MCGI)

Level 8 qualifications recognise leading experts or practitioners in a particular field. Learning at this level involves the development of new and creative approaches that extend or redefine existing knowledge or professional practice (Doctorate degree).

City & Guilds Fellowship (FCGI) and Honoris Causa Fellowship (Hon FCGI).

Currently, qualification titles such as "certificate" and "diploma" are not indicators of the level of a qualification.
